Who Is Jesus? My Helper

Psalm 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."

Jesus understands our troubles and our struggles. Read Hebrews 4:15 tells us that.

Jesus wants to help us through the presence and power of His Holy Spirit. This is why he went away, so He could send us a helper.

Read John 16:5-8. Here is where Jesus says that he would send His Holy Spirit to to help us and to guide us.

Remember, God's plan is for your good. Here are some verses you may read to encourage you this week.

Jeremiah 29:11,
Psalm 54:7,
Psalm 70:5,
Psalm 61:2-4

Jesus - My Eternal Hope

The power of God resides in, and is evidenced, throughout the life of Jesus. Even in the time of Christ's death, the power of God was shown in a lot of different ways. You can read about some of that amazing stuff in Matthew 27:45-54.

1 John 5:4,5 tells us that Jesus is the winner, and that those who place their whole trust and faith in him will also be winners.

Jesus went through tough stuff, but did not give up. You can know, that even if you have tough times, Jesus is there to help you. You can place your faith, trust and hope in him.

Read Jeremiah 29:11. God is for you!

Jesus - My Healer

Philippians 4:19 says, "My God shall supply all your need according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus."

God knows what you need. When you are not feeling well, God knows what you need to be healthy too. He wants to help you with that. Jesus paid the price so you can be healed when you are sick. (Read Isaiah 53:5)

Peter understood that God wants people to be healthy. When he was walking by a crippled man, Peter saw that the man had faith and wanted to be healed. Peter also knew that Jesus had paid the price so that we can be healed. You can read about this happening in Acts 3:1-8.

God wants you to be healthy in body and soul. (See 3 John 2.) So take care of yourself! Put good things into your body, and into your heart and mind. And when you don't feel well, know that Jesus has provided for your healing.
